Jessie is an aerial instructor, performer, and producer! She began her aerial journey in 2016, and has had the opportunity to teach and perform in many different states including Florida, Missouri, and South Carolina! She believes in continuing education and trains with Holly Ann Jarvis and Jenn Bruyer! She has also taken rigging workshops to ensure the safety of performances and students. She is currently located in South Carolina, but you can find her performing and producing shows in Show Me state and the Palmetto State with the Sideshow Menagerie Troupe, a troupe she co-founded! Her favorite accomplishments include winning first and second place in aerial hammock competitions and winning the grand prize for the 2019 St. Louis Fringe Festival for her chains piece in the show she co-produced titled "When Women Were Birds."
Jessie believes that aerial arts are accessible to individuals of all walks and seasons of life. Whether you are wanting to learn aerial arts for fitness, for empowerment, for "me time," or because you want to perform one day; Jessie will help you develop goals and set concrete plans to achieve those goals. Jessie also genuinely believes in creating a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment. She welcomes safe exploration of aerial apparatuses while developing a relationship with our apparatuses.
Jessie knows how intimidating fitness, exercise, and aerial can be! The most dance and gymnastics back ground Jessie had was dancing in the mirror growing up! You do not need any kind of movement background to feel good about your aerial practice or your body!
Performance
Jessie is available for circus style performance art! She specializes in aerial hammock and aerial chains; however, is able to perform on aerial net, aerial silks, lyra, and dance trapeze. She offers dance quality movements in the air with fluidity and grace! In addition, she loves wowing the audience with dynamic drops! Jessie offers numerous types of performances including single acts, doubles acts, ambiance performances, aerial bartending, and special acts.
